Standing on the sands
of the Edge of my End
Battered worn and Tired

I had wrapped myself
in Silken Robes of Blue
Knowing my Time had come

The Gulls had come to cry
Circling above with final goobyes
My head raised High

Before the lapping surf
Could moisten the cloth
A familiar sound filled my ears

He looked not like the ones I knew
The ones who had so often shared their time
He was illuminated and seem to beckon

Finally my song of Destiny had Begun..

Oh, wow...I love the sentiment behind this. When you know the time has come, simply shake off the bonds of this world and walk out into the next. I don't find this sad- I think it's a beautiful idea.
